Take Generic Zyvox by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
If you want to achieve most effective results do not stop taking Generic Zyvox suddenly.
Missing of dose
Do not take double dose. If you miss a dose you should take it as soon as you remember about your missing. If it is the time for the next dose you should continue your regular dosing schedule.
If you overdose Generic Zyvox and you don't feel good you should visit your doctor or health care provider immediately.
After this medicine is mixed by your pharmacist, store it at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F) away from moisture and heat. Keep container tightly closed to protect from light and moisture. Throw away any unused medicine after 21 days. Keep out of the reach of children.
Generic Zyvox has its side effects. The most common are:
- bad taste in mouth
- tongue discoloration
- trouble sleeping
Less common but more serious side effects during taking Generic Zyvox:
- allergy reactions (urticaria, breathing difficulties, rash, and eruption)
- bloody stools
- bloody vomit
- fast heartbeat
- loss of coordination
- muscle spasms
- prolonged or repeated nausea or vomiting
- severe or continuing diarrhea
- sore throat or fever
- stomach pain/cramps
- swelling of the hands or feet
- tingling or numbness of hands or feet
- unusual bleeding or bruising
- unusual tiredness or weakness
- vaginal irritation or unusual discharge
- vision changes
- white patches in the mouth
Side effects manifestations are not only depend on medicine you are taking but also depend on your health state and on the other factors.
Do not take Generic Zyvox if you are allergic to Generic Zyvox components.
Do not use Generic Zyvox if you are taking an amphetamine (eg, dextroamphetamine), certain anorexiants (eg, phentermine), a catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitor (eg, entacapone), levodopa, meperidine, or a sympathomimetic (eg, albuterol, dopamine, epinephrine, pseudoephedrine).
Do not take Generic Zyvox if you have taken apraclonidine, bupropion, a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (eg, atomoxetine), a serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (eg, duloxetine), or certain anorexiants (eg, sibutramine) within the past 14 days.
Be careful if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
Be careful if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement.
Be careful if you have a history of high blood pressure, kidney problems, bone marrow problems, low blood cell or platelet levels, an adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma), carcinoid syndrome, severe liver problems, seizures, or an overactive thyroid.
Be careful if you have a prolonged infection that has been previously treated with another antibiotic medicine.
Be careful if you are taking any medicine for depression, amphetamines (eg, dextroamphetamine), anorexiants (eg, phentermine, sibutramine), or sympathomimetics (eg, dopamine, epinephrine, pseudoephedrine); bupropion, COMT inhibitors (eg, entacapone), levodopa, norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (eg, atomoxetine), serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (eg, duloxetine, or serotonin reuptake inhibitors (eg, fluoxetine).
It can be dangerous to stop Generic Zyvox taking suddenly.
